Language Arts Assignments for December 1, 2008

We checked the yellow handout from Thurs. (on parts of a letter and addressing an envelope) and the questions from the Lit. Book story  "Turkeys" p. 584 #1-6.

D.G.P.--- WEEK 11--- MON.

We discussed "gifts" today in class, noting that a gift doesn't always come in a box or bag.  Gifts of your time, effort, love, or friendship, from the heart, can mean more than a concrete, tangible gift.  

Write a rough draft paragraph (5-7 sentences) on notebook paper, edit and revise it, then copy it over in ink on the handout given to you in class.  TOPIC:  If you could change yourself into a gift....What would you be? (describe the gift)   Who would receive it? (1 person or many people)  Why would they deserve this gift?  How would they benefit or feel when they receive it?

Bring your scissors, colored pencils, markers to class tomorrow.
