I will be having gallbladder surgery Mar. 12 and will be absent while recovering.  The best news is... your substitute is really not a substitute, but a former Dickerson full time language arts teacher! Mrs. Jennifer Mason will be the teacher until I return, and the students have already had the pleasure of her leading the class this year.  We are so lucky to have her here, and I know she will enjoy teaching you in my absence.
