Language Arts Assignments for May 20, 2009

Mrs. Kilgore's Homeroom Announcements:
I have 1 homeroom student with an overdue library book needing to return or pay for it.
Students completed an End of the Year Language Arts Test today. This will not count as a final, but will serve to show their personal growth in language arts.
There is no homework.
Students were to take home their Writing Portfolios today. They shared some writings aloud today in class.
NO BOOKBAGS, BOOKS, WORKBOOKS,OR BINDERS NEEDED TOMORROW.

I still have 2 homeroom students needing to turn in $1.00 for report card mailing.
I have 1 homeroom student with an overdue library book needing to return or pay for it.
Lit. Book-Author Study Mark Twain- Read p. 552-557 "My Papa Mark Twain". Questions #1-4 discussed today.
Students started on an End of the Year Language Arts Test today. This will not count as a final, but will serve to show their personal growth in language arts.
Make sure to bring your language arts workbook tomorrow. Binders may be left at home.
Returned today. TEST Mon., 5/18/09 on the book No More Dead Dogs.

From yesterday----Make sure you have read Literature Book-p. 494-504 "All American Slurp" Answer Questions # 1-5 on p. 504. These will be checked on Mon. 5/18.
Spelling Quiz Unit # 10 on Mon., May 18th. Study your list.
Finish reading the class novel No More Dead Dogs. If you are absent on a day we read, you need to come in and read from 8:45-the end of homeroom to catch up.
You should study your "Cast of Characters" List, the questions, and answers.
There will be a test Mon., 5/18/09 on the book No More Dead Dogs.
