Friday, August 31st

Both Classes:  Today we had our first homework quiz!  If you were absent, you can come in Tuesday morning at 8:30 to make it up. 

After the homework quiz, all classes worked on the "Number Cube Sums" task.  Download Numbercubesumstask.doc   Students worked in pairs the rest of the period.  This assignment will be taken up Tuesday for a grade in the "graded assignment" category.  So, if you did not finish the task in class, you need to finish it for homework this weekend.  If you were absent, you can download the assignment and turn it in Tuesday also.  All answers must be on a separate sheet of paper and written in full, complete sentences. 

Have a good weekend!  We are starting our new unit on Exponents Tuesday!

Both Classes:  Today we took the TEST!!!

Homework:  Make sure all of your homework is in order and numbered.  Also, make sure all of your problems have correct work and correct answers!  Come to class with all the assignments stapled and organized.

Wednesday, August 29th

Both Classes:  Today we reviewed for the TEST tomorrow!

Homework:  Review sheet - evens (the answers were given in class so students could check at home)

Also, students should practice problems on the internet using www.go.hrw.com.

Enriched Math 8:  Today we did a warm-up, checked homework, and started a packet on "The Addition Principle of Probability."  Students should finish the packet for homework.  They do not need to do the "Conclusions" or "Homework" sections.
