Research for 7th grade LA Persuasive writing

Students in 7th grade LA, working on their persuasive essays, are learning to find information from magazine, newspapers and interview transcripts to reinforce an "issue" that they are writing about.  The Cobb Virtual Library has two wonderful sites with full text articles from these sources.

GALILEO - go to the k-12 link at the top right, then under high school, use SIRS Researcher.  Students can use the Pro-vs-Con area to get an excellent overview of many topics, also with the overview is a list of many full text magazine and newspaper articles supporting either side of the "issue".  Be sure to read the information under the pro/con tab. 

e-Library is the other resource with magazines and newspapers.  This database also contains transcripts from many news shows, NPR radio shows, and govt. interviews.
