Student Achievement: Once again it is time for "T-Read or Treating" students in all grades will learn more about the Dewey Decimal System and how libraries work.
- Students pick a fiction book for pleasure reading for October
- Using Destiny, students identify the subject headings for their book
- Then search for a non-fiction book on one of those subjects
- When they check out both books students get candy or a prize
- Students were very creative with their selections last year. They learned more about using the library and the library catalog and picked out some very interesting non-fiction books to read. Last year we checked out over 5,000 books and this year we hope to circulate at least 4,000.
