Book Fair is Coming to Dickerson

Mark your calendars for Oct. 13th for our fall Scholastic Book Fair.  Please support your school library by visiting/shopping our fair. 

Parents, please plan a few extra minutes either before or after your student's conference to stop in, pick up a few favorite titles, and add to your child's home book collection.

Week of Sept. 27th is Banned Book Week

ALA Banned Book Week is an anual event celebrated across the Nation to remind Americans not to take the 1st Amendment of Free Speech and Intelectual Freedom for granted.  "Celebrate your freedom to read."

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins is here!

The long awaited Mockingjay, the 3rd book in the Hunger Games trilogy,  has arrived @ your library.  We have 9 copies circulating with 43 people on the reserve list.  With book fair coming in October, we hope to pick up additional copies.   
The Hunger Games trilogy and the Maximum Ride series remain among our most popular books.  Hunger Games currently has an all time record for the most holds.   We have 59 holds and 14 copies of the book circulating.  Look for these and other hot reads at your book fair.

We circulated 3059 books during the month of August!!!!!;~)
