We continue to read the biography, Cheaper by the Dozen, by Frank written by Frank and Ernestine Gilbreth. The students discovered that the recent movie version is nothing like the original book. We will have a quiz on chapters 6 to 10 this week, probably Tuesday. In 3rd, 4th and 5th period, we will also read far enough to quiz on chapters 11 to 15 at the end of the week. Any student who was absent on Friday was able to check out a book today in order to catch up on the reading they missed on Friday. It is important to do this tonight, Monday.
L.A. The students continue to work on the short plays they have written and will perform them for the class on Friday, 4/29/11. Music to explore: a favorite song, a traditional song from the student's culture or a song that tells a story, such as a ballad. The students will spend time in class working on this piece this week.
