Today we discussed the culture of Canada and why Canada selected the maple leaf as its symbol.  Read pages 132-136 and complete page 14 of your workbook.  We also reviewed for tomorrow's map and capitals quiz.

Welcome back!  I hope you had a wonderful spring break.

We discussed the government of Canada.  Read pages 124-127.  Do the Skillbuilder questions with the chart on page 126.  Write your answers for this on page 74 of your notebook.  Complete page 12 of your workbook. 

Homework: Complete the job description for a member of the royal family.

Note: There will be a map and capitals quiz on Canada on Wednesday.  It will include the bodies of water.
