Frank_spin_pumpkin_halloween_md_clr I collected the journal entries today.  We reviewed the causes of WWI and completed the map activity of Europe before and after WWI.  We also worked on a read aloud/think aloud activity with the article "The Spark."  There is no assignment.

Periods 1 and 4 - You had to write one thing learned  from last week's activity about each of the czars and czarina.  You also had to decide, from your reading, if you thought Catherine the Great was a good/bad ruler of Russia.  We also started on Thanksgiving letters to soldiers.

Periods 2 and 3 - We started with your presentations.  You had to write one thing that you learned about each group from the presentations.  We started on Thanksgiving letters to soldiers.

All Classes: There will be a quiz on the Scientific, Industrial, and French Revolutions on Wednesday.  Review pages 313-317 of text and pages 40-43 of notebook (periods 1,4 - also review pages 170-171 in notebbok). 

Don't forget to get your report card signed and that picture retakes are tomorrow.

NickyWe started a group activity in which you became experts on your topic of imperial Russia to share with all of the other groups.  We will continue with the poster portion tomorrow.

Homework: Bring in any computer-generated pictures that you would like to use on your poster.  You should also bring colored pencils or markers.
