Today we reviewed the syllabus and organized the interactive notebook. 

Homework: Complete your notebook as needed.  Period 1, follow the directions I gave you in class.  If you are not sure of something, ask me in class tomorrow.  Be sure to remind your parents that Open House is tomorrow at 6:30.

We finished contrasting life during the Middle Ages and during the Renaissance.  We worked on an introduction to using the world history atlas.

Homework:  Cover your new textbook.  Have all of the necessary materials for your interactive notebook.  If you forget what they are, check the blog from Monday, August 13.  Have your personalized collage taped to the front cover of the notebook.  Have a great weekend!

After the agenda discussions and review of yesterday's activity, European Search, we read and discussed how the ancient Greeks and Romans contributed to modern-day society as an introduction to our study of the Renaissance.

You will need to have all of your notebook materials by Monday, August 20.  You will need a Mead Five Star one-subject notebook (11 x 8 1/2 inches), a glue stick, a personalized collage for the outside cover of the notebook, and 3 inside covers ( Europe and Russia, Reading in the Content Area, and Vocabulary).
