Southern Star Music Festival Information
Students who signed up to participate in the Six Flags/Southern Star Music Festival need to be sure to bring their formal uniforms to school on Friday, April 25th.

Southern Star Music Festival Participants Only
All 7th Grade students participating in the Southern Star Music Festival on April 25th will need to attend a morning rehearsal on Wednesday, April 16th in the Theater from 8:00am-8:50am. This will be the only time we are able to put both classes together to sing before their performance on the 25th.

Now that our Large Group Performance Evaluations are behind us, we are beginning to work on our Spring music for the Disney performance and the Spring Concert.
REHEARSALS:
In order to prepare, we have scheduled 4 mandatory morning rehearsals. These rehearsals begin next week! These rehearsals are vital to the students' performance, as they are the only 4 times these students will be able to perform together before May.
Please make arrangements to have your child at school for these rehearsals by 8:00am on the following days:

Thursday, April 3rd 8:00am
Monday, April 21st 8:00am

DISNEY PACKET AND FORMS:
The initial Disney Packet will go home this Friday, March 28th. It contains detailed information about the trip, along with several forms which need to be completed prior to the trip meeting on April 17th. One of the forms will need to be signed by a Notary.
MANDATORY PARENT AND STUDENT TRIP MEETING:
The mandatory parent and student trip meeting will take place on Thursday, April 17th at 6:30pm. All students participating in the trip and at least one parent must be present at this meeting. All trip forms are due by this date.
Six Flags Southern Star Music Festival 2008
April 25th - Concert Performance at Riverwood HS - 4:50pm
April 26th - Spend the day at Six Flags
This year we are taking the 7th Grade students to the Southern Star Music Festival, which is run through Six Flags Over Georgia. Students were sent home information packets today, with trip order forms and package options. This trip is optional, but a students MUST participate in the Friday performance in order to participate in the Saturday in the park. We are implementing a "Three Strikes" Discipline system for this trip. A student may acquire strikes for various behavior issues. Our goal is not to prevent students from participating in the trip, but ensuring that the students are displaying the appropriate behavior in all school activities.
