Good evening,

We have been working on the vocabulary and making sure everyone is clear on how to use the words. This has taken most of our class time. 

If you didn't turn in the sentences today they are expected tomorrow and will be given a late grade as they were to be turned in today.

The reading logs need to be signed tonight .

The quiz over the vocabulary words (all 26) is on Wednesday 11/02.

We will be going to the media center and book fair tomorrow ( bring money if you want to purchase books).

The classes will be short , so you all can read a little extra next week as well.

Dear parents and students,

I am going to be expecting the students to be a bit more responsible this next nine weeks. This means bringing the necessary supplies to class, having the required homework on the day it's due  and not being tardy.I will be taking points off if a student needs to return to their locker for supplies.

Today we began our unit on non-fiction : how to use informational text. We will be going to the media center tomorrow to get familiar with the resources in Cobb Virtual Library and how to find specific information on the different sites.

Dear parents and students,

reading logs are due tomorrow, please make sure they are checked for the alloted minutes and signed.

The tests will be posted tomorrow during my planning.

 I will also be posting the quarter  AR points quiz grade during the weekend. 20 points = a 100 on a quiz grade. If they didn't have 20 points they will get a grade equivalent for the points they do have.

In tomorrow's classes we will be doing an internet activity on hoe to research topic and find information through our Cobb Virtual Library.

we are having our Maximum Ride test tomorrow. To study look at Friday's download to play the review game.

Friday is the last day to get AR points for the grading period.

Good evening,

today we went to the media center to take AR tests on Maximum Ride and other books the students have read. Many students have exceeded the required twenty points, some are scrambling to catch up.

Remember we are have a forty question test over Maximum Rides "The Angel Experiment" on Thursday.There are two PowerPoint's attached to Fridays BLOG, take a look and review. Just about every question on there will be on the test.

Tomorrow the media specialist is having the children participate in an activity locating and using non-fiction works. The next nine weeks there will be a heavier concentration of non-fiction.

Dear Parents and students,

I have attached the review powerpoint, it is still repeating some questions, but it will still be a good review. Download Maxride review , Download Maxride review2Our test is on Thursday.

We'll take our final AR tests on Monday and checkout new books.

I have decided to postpone the test over the concepts we have studied since the beginning of the year. I feel we won't have time to review and test until the end of October.

Dear parents and students,

I want to give some important dates to you for upcoming activities.

Reading logs are to be signed tonight.

Tomorrow we will be having a Jeopardy review over the Maximum Ride text.

We are having our AR quiz over Maximum Ride on Monday ( they will go to the media center lab).

Thursday they will be having a fourty question test, that I have prepared over the book.

The last grade of the grading period will be a test over skills such as , plot, tone , mood , prediction, and prefixes and suffixes. Will will review throughout the next week for this. We covered these early on on so they will need a refresher.

If your child says that he or she doesn't have home work , please remind them they  can review for upcoming quizzes and tests.
