Performing Arts: Dear parents, tomorrow there will be an anti bullying performance at school. If you aren't sure whether or not you returned a signed permission slip to the homeroom teacher in the early months of schoo,l then just write a note giving your child permission to watch a play at school. If there isn't a permission slip they cannot attend.
We are completing our project and they are due on Friday. The children will then share their books.
We have been working on our childrens' books. The rough draft ( story only) must be finished by Monday as we are going to the lab to type them on Monday. The completed project will be bound at school on Friday. The students will begin sharing them Friday as well.
We will begin working on a book report the first of May. They will get that rubric next week.
Well the reading portion of the CRCT is over. Tomorrow we start working on a project " writing a children's book" the rubric will be given to them tomorrow, but the majority if the work will be done at school. This is worth a test grade, so I hope they put their best foot forward. They will have the option to work with a partner and I told them to choose wisely.
Tomorrow is the reading portion of the CRCT, while I am not assigning this for homework, I did advise the students that if I were taking the test tomorrow I might review figurative language pg.278 in "Readers Journey" and theme( plot and main idea(pg.178). Look in the glossary or their notebooks for theme and plot.
