We are soooooo! close to finishing Maximum Ride. When we are finished reading it we will be doing some activities with the book , as well as , more vocabulary. This will culminate in an eventual tet. I willl let you know a week in advance.

Keep reading, all points due by the 14th.

I will be posting the grades for the poetry vocabulary tomorrow as well.

We will be going to the media center to check books out and trying to finish Maximum Ride, but I doubt we'll have time.

We read Maximum Ride today.

Many student's didn't have their homework. I will be posting the grades tomorrow morning.

Flash cards are due on Monday all twenty-one words, no excuses. We will read Maximum Ride most of the week and complete corrwelating vocabulary.

Reading log, Reading log, reading log: please sign your child reading log, if they have not been observed reading then let me know. Acceptable forms of reading would be books, periodicals and magazines.

2/16/11 There will be a quiz over their poetry vocabulary; the students wrote these in their notebook last week.

H.W. To help them study they're  to make flashcards, twenty-one) by Monday. If it were me I'd do some each day.

Today we did a little review of those words and read from " A Light In The Attic".

During the second part of class we read from " Maximum Ride" . My goal is to finish by next Friday.

 

2/08/11

We are trying to do several tasks before the break. The first is to finish Maximum Ride and then complete the correlating activities. I probably won't test over the story until we get back.

The second it to complete a poetry unit. Some of the students picked great song lyrics to share as poetry, other seem to miss the mark.

Tomorrow will be a Maximum Ride day.

Please may sure your children are reading nightly.

Today we took a post test over graphs and charts. I will have those graded tomorrow morning, but will evaluate the grades before I post them.

Tomorrow we are going to the media center to check out books.

We will also begin a unit over poetry; the interpretation and characteristics of poems.
