Week 4/30-5/4

There are four more weeks of the school year left, has time flown by. A reminder that the Culture project is due on 5/8. We have finished our in class portion, the rest needs to be completed at home.I am going to use the remainder of the year to focus on things we didn't have the opportunity to explore in greater detail.This week we will read and do some activities about immigration and movement throughout the United States.

We will be working on creating our own political cartoons, representing some things that would have been pertinent to that time. This will be for a timely assignment grade(20%).

CRCT week

Dear parents, I haven't posted due to the fact that we have been testing, and I don't give homework during this time.

I am assigning a group project( no more than three to a group)over the cultures of many of the places we have studied this year. A formal rubric will be given on Mon. I'm not sure of the actual due date, but much of it will be done at school.

Week 4/09/07

Welcome back! We are down to the wire for crct testing. I am trying to refresh or teach new material that the students may need for testing. we are assembling a puzzle map of Canada in preparation for a quiz on friday over Provinces, territories and their capitals. We filled out a map before spring break and this week we will review everyday.

We will be studying the history of Canada and review the history of N. America for the remainder of this week.

S.S. is the last crct that is given so I will do a quick introduction to Oceania, but we will spend more time with this at the end of the year.

There will be no homework from me next week during testing.
