This was the last day to work on projects in school. Everyone must have their project completed by Monday. There will be no late work. I must have them all graded by Friday.
I am very pleased with all their hard work.
This was the last day to work on projects in school. Everyone must have their project completed by Monday. There will be no late work. I must have them all graded by Friday.
I am very pleased with all their hard work.
Next week we will only work on the project about two days. I hope that everyone works on it at home.
There will be a notebook quiz one day next week.
We had a map quiz, almost everyone got a 100, way to go!
I have decided to give a map quiz over the Canadian provinces. This will be Friday of this week. They have already worked on Canada and we'll be reviewing with blank maps in class every day at the beginning of each period.
We will use the rest of class to work on their business plans. I am very impressed with many of the project ideas that have been shared with me.
I am so pleased that many of the students have worked on their research for the business project. Many are struggling with the licensing aspect. I will allow a for an educated guess where this is considered.
The homework will be the same for several days, gather all the monetary facts to write your plan. Not everyone is using the class time wisely, so I may be limiting the class aspect. I will try to get a lab sot hey can type it here at school. Remember we have two weeks from today.
Tomorrow a current event is due. The students have been told the directions several times. It is an easy A if everyone follows the instructions. Check Wednesday's blog.
We are going to use those current events to have a classroom dialog in class tomorrow.
It's the last day of the month and the last day of testing. I know that many feel as if the year is over, but we have several more weeks of school and more grade are to be given.
I have assigned a current event due on Fri. May, 2 they are to get a current article from a newspaper, magazine or the Internet. They will cut out or print the article and then summarize , in their own words. It doesn't have to be long. It can't be gory or gruesome, about sports or entertainment. We must be able to have a dialog over it.
We also discussed their projects and I'll send home the rubric tomorrow.
I am attaching a study review for tomorrow's CRCT test

Parents we are almost done with testing, but Social Studies is last. I would like them to stay a bit more focused until Tuesday. We did a review that I made up today and will con tinue on Monday.
I will be giving them a rubric for a business project on Tuesday.
There is no homework and we will be reviewing over the next week.
It's the week we have all been waiting for! Make sure everyone is well rested Tuesday into Wednesday as the CRCT's begin. Eat breakfast, so you don't get the growls, everyone will hear.
We are doing a group rotation, each group of four makes up four questions each and then each group will rotate their questions so that all of the questions will be answered and they will have reviewed major topics for their test.
The project we will be starting after testing will need to be abridged , so that the students can get it back in a timely fashion. Instead of it being worth both a test and a quiz grade, it will only be a test grade. I will give out the rubric next monday.
