Hello Everybody! 

Say good-bye to March 2011.  This might be the first time that you have all taken the March AR test before the end of the month.  I am impressed!!  I am also impressed with your AR grades this month!  Keep it up!  If you are ready to take another AR test tomorrow, it will go on the April AR test. 

 Don't forget your Reading Log tomorrow because you cannot bring it Monday!!

The week is winding down and only two more days until you have a week off. (Hooray, Spring Break!!!)  Remember you are not on break yet, and you should remember that you are preparing for the CRCT which will begin April 12th.  Stay focussed, prepared and responsible!

Hello Everybody!

You went to the media center today.   Does everyone have 2 books to read during Spring Break?  Every day you have reviewed reading strategies in preparation which will begin on Tuesday, two days after you return from Spring Break. 

Don't forget to buy (or find if you have one) a shirt to wear on Field Day.

Hello Everybody!

You are continuing to prepare for the CRCT in class, and at home you should be reading EVERY night!

Walton Clean Sweep Day

Saturday, March 26th
11:00-3:00 (anytime during this time frame)

STUDENTS WILL GET VOLUNTEER HOURS!!!  If you can participate in the clean up day just email Heather at hprees@aol.com

and give her your names.  On the 26th you will check in to the front office and be given an area and supplies. When you leave you will check out at the front office and your student will be given paperwork with their volunteer hours.

 This would be a great event for you and your child to meet other Walton students and parents. It will be a fun day!

This rock and soul musical based on the beloved classic "The Wizard of Oz" debuted on Broadway in 1975.  The original musical was the winner of 7 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Choreography.  The play was later adapted into a film starring Dianna Ross and Michael Jackson.   Come on and "ease on down the road" with this talented cast and crew!

Hello Everybody and Happy Weekend!

In reading you continued with the reader response from "An Hour with Abuelo."  You will finish on Monday.  Also on Monday you will receive your new 9 week schedule.

Hello Everybody! 

  I hope you enjoyed St. Patrick's Day and actually learned something about how this holiday began.  Today 7th grade finished the guided reading and will begin the partner-reading tomorrow.  8th grade finished the partner-reading.  both groups will begin the response packer tomorrow.

Hello Everybody! Tomorrow is Saint Patrick's Day.  This holiday comes to us from Ireland, but on March 17th EVERYONE is Irish (Well, a little).  Be sure to wear something green.
