Hello Everybody!
I'd like to introduce myself...I'm Mr. Pellegrino. I will be your teacher until Ms. Danowitz returns. In case you are wondering, I have talked with her and she is recovering at home. She misses you all very much!! Ms. Danowitz has told me all about how wonder her students are and I am sure to see for myself in the next few weeks. I know that we are coming close to the end of the year, but I do want to let you know that we will have fun, BUT WE ARE GOING TO WORK!
Oh no, did he say work? Cheer up!! I promise that we will have a great deal of fun along the way.
I do want to continue with you blogs. I will try to get an entry everyday for you all. I do not have an email address set up at this time, so you will need to write the answers to my DAILY QUESTION on a sheet of paper for the next class period to get your particiaption point.
So, what are we working on?
6th graders- Everyday Spelling Unit 1 Getting Letters in Correct order
synonyms- a word having the same meaning as another word.
Can you think of 3 synonyms for each of the following words?

7th graders- Elements of Literature- from Barrio Boy starting on pg. 125
We are working with the Words to Own vocabulary. Today, we talked about comparing and contrasting your immigration experiences to those of Ponn Pet. Afterwards, we got into groups to develop school rules to make new students in the school aware of when welcoming them to their new school.
The question that I want you to think about for tonight.....If a tree fell in the forest and no one was around to hear it...Does it still make a sound? Let me hear your opinions in sentence form. Remember points will be awarded.
