Assignment: Read pages 700-712 in the literature book. Make vocabulary cards for the 26 vocabulary words from "Anne Frank." These are on your two sheets of questions handed out today. Use half a 3x5 card for each word. Put vocabulary on one side and the part of speech along with definition on the back side. Color code these cards one color. Bring these to class on Monday for a card check. We will continue with the play on Monday.

Assignment: Bring your literature book to class along with your binder each day. We will start "Anne Frank" on Wednesday.
Week of April 28, 2008
Assignment: After CRCT'S we will begin "The Dairy of Anne Frank," the play version in our lit book. Bring your lit book to class everyday as we will listen to the CD and read at home. We will finish the play on May 14th. On the 15th and 16th of May, you will need 50 3x5 notecards for a review project. Bring them to class along with all notes, grammar book, and lit book. This is preparation for your final exam. Be prepared!! Our final exam is Wednesday, May 21. It will include grammar, lit terms, and "...Anne Frank."
Assignment: We are watching the movie of our novel during CRCT testing. We will begin reading the play version of The Dairy of Anne Frank after the testing. Bring your literature book to class each day until the end of the year. We will also do some review for the final exam which is on Wednesday, May 21.

Assignment: Test tomorrow over Summer of My German Soldier. Turn in your questions, character chart, and vocabulary words. Be sure to follow the directions on the half sheet of paper handed out with the assignment.
Review for the CRCT by taking the online tests and looking over your workbook.

Assignment: Bring all work for Summer of My German Soldier to class on Monday. We will go over all work and prepare for the test on Tuesday. Everything is due on Tuesday! We will also correct work done for CRCT on Tuesday (bring your workbook). Take the online CRCTtests before Wednesday and earn 7 bonus points for your final exam.

Assignment: Novel should be completed. We will review and finish talking about the novel on Monday. Test is on Tuesday. All novel work is due Tuesday.
A parent signature is needed on the CRCT practice tests letter sent home today. Each student can earn 7 bonus points on the final exam by taking the 7 practice tests by Wednesday of next week. All tests are online and may be taken numerous times. A score of 80% is needed on a test in order to earn the extra point for the test. Practice is a must. Remember: It is imperative that you pass reading and math.

Assignment: Do pages 191, 193, 197 and 199 in your workbook. Finish reading the novel by Friday and have all work for the novel completed by Tuesday, April 22. Test over the novel is on Tuesday, April 22.
4/15/08
Assignment: Finish reading the novel by Friday. All work is due on Tuesday, April 22 and the test over the novel is on that day, too!
Periods 1,2, 6 & 7: Do pages 135 & 137 in your grammar workbook. KNOW the personal pronouns and where to use them. Review prepositions in the book if necessary. Period 3 will be doing this tomorrow.
