5/14/08-5/16/08

Assignment:  Work on your review project using 3x5 cards.  Follow the directions on the sheet given to you.  If you already have your cards from the writing and literature sections, you don't have to redo them......just make sure you have all the cards!  Also, study, study, study.  A good portion of the final is on the terms.  Study your Anne Frank material as well.  Tomorrow and Friday, we will watch the movie about Anne Frank.  You may work on your project as you watch the movie...just be sure you are quiet and on task.  If not, all work will have to be done at home.  Hav e the project completed by Monday so we can go over anything you do not understand.

5/12-16/08

Assignment:  Tomorrow we will finish "Anne Frank."  Please bring your lit book and your grammar book as you will turn them in.  Bring your language arts notebook with all your notes from the year plus 50 3x5 notecards.  I will give you a final review sheet to do and you must have your cards to complete the assignment.  We will work on this Wednesday during class.  This must be completed by Monday as we will discuss the project on Monday.  On Thursday and Friday, we will watch a movie on The Diary of Anne Frank.  Our final exam is on Wednesday, May 21.   Study, study, study!!

Assignment:  Today we continued reading "Anne Frank..."  We discussed questions from the first two scenes and checked vocabulary cards.  These vocabulary words will be on the final exam so start learning them now!  Tomorrow we will continue reading the play and work on the questions for the next sections.  Reading cards are due to the language arts teachers this month.

5/1-2/08

Assignment:  Read pages 700-712 in the literature book.  Make vocabulary cards for the 26 vocabulary words from "Anne Frank." These are on your two sheets of questions handed out today.   Use half a 3x5 card for each word.  Put vocabulary on one side and the part of speech along with definition on the back side.  Color code these cards one color.  Bring these to class on Monday for a card check.  We will continue with the play on Monday.

Assignment:  Bring your literature book to class along with your binder each day.  We will start "Anne Frank" on Wednesday.

Week of April 28, 2008

Assignment:  After CRCT'S we will begin "The Dairy of Anne Frank," the play version in our lit book.  Bring your lit book to class everyday as we will listen to the CD and read at home.  We will finish the play on May 14th.  On the 15th and 16th of May, you will need 50 3x5 notecards for a review project.  Bring them to class along with all notes, grammar book, and lit book.  This is preparation for your final exam.  Be prepared!!  Our final exam is Wednesday, May 21.  It will include grammar, lit terms, and "...Anne Frank." 

Assignment:  We are watching the movie of our novel during CRCT testing.  We will begin reading the play version of The Dairy of Anne Frank after the testing.  Bring your literature book to class each day until the end of the year.  We will also do some review for the final exam which is on  Wednesday, May 21.

Assignment:  Test tomorrow over Summer of My German Soldier.  Turn in your questions, character chart, and vocabulary words.  Be sure to follow the directions on the half sheet of paper handed out with the assignment. 

Review for the CRCT by taking the online tests and looking over your workbook.

4/18/08

Assignment:  Bring all work for Summer of My German Soldier to class on Monday.  We will go over all work and prepare for the test on Tuesday.  Everything is due on Tuesday!  We will also correct work done for CRCT on Tuesday (bring your workbook).    Take the online CRCTtests before Wednesday and earn 7 bonus points for your final exam.
