math 6:  study for tomorrow's quiz on similar figures and indirect measurement.  do text pg. 372, #s 4,5,6,7,10, and 11.  Review old homework worksheets.

math 6/7:  the percent unit test is on Friday.  For homework, do "did you hear about"  (last page of your packet), and "percent of change" ws (back side of last night's assignment).

Monday, Jan. 30

There will be a help session tomorrow morning at 8:15 am for math 6 students.

math 6:  You will have a quiz Wednesday on the topics of similar figures and indirect measurement.  For homework tonight, do wkbk pg. 58, drawing pictures for #3-8, and writing proportions for all.

math 6/7:  there will be a percent unit test on Friday.  For homework, do "scientific name" amd "percents of change" worksheets, those sides only. 

Friday, Jan 27

math 6:  finish the "Palace Window" worksheet.

math 6/7:  there will be a unit test next Friday on percent.  Finish "mystery message" #1-9 and 9-5 Practice worksheet for Monday.

Thursday, Jan. 26

math 6:  You must write a proportion on the worksheet, and solve it in your spiral for :  "similar triangles" (pickle) worksheet, left column only, and "Palace Window" ws, #1-7 only.

math 6/7:  study for tomorrow's quiz.  Do "snowmen/blizzard" ws.  Due on Monday, "mystery message" #1-9 and 9-5 practice

Wed. Jan. 25

Tomorrow  morning's help session is for math 6/7 students only and for students coming in to make-up a test.

math 6:  no homework.  If you were absent today, you may come in at 8:10 am tomorrow to take the test .

math 6/7:  you have a quiz on Friday.  Do "mystery message" #1-10 only and "Percents: under 1-over 100" in your spiral.  No work = no credit.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

math 6:  STUDY for tomorrow's TEST.  do the "ice cream" worksheet, problem #s 2,3,4,5 and 8 only.  Review your quiz, old homework assignments, last night's homeowrk, and the "Percent Applications" worksheet we filled out together in class last week.

math 6/7:  you will have a quiz on Friday.  For homeowrk, do the "riddle" and "ice cream" worksheets

Monday, Jan. 23

There will be a help session tomorrow at 8:15am for math 6 students.

math 6:  do side 2 of the packet.  You must do the calculation work in your spiral.  no work = no credit.  Also, begin to review and study for Wednesday's TEST!!!  Look over your quiz, get it signed if necessary.

math 6/7:  "horror movies" ws, show work in spiral.  There will be a quiz on Friday.

Friday, Jan. 20

math 6:  sides 1, 3 and 4 of your new two-page packet.  You must show your calculation work.  Remember to use the notes from yesterday and today as model problems.  There will be a test next Wed.

math 6/7:  finish your swapped treasure hunt and do 9-5 practice worksheet.

Thursday, Jan. 19

math 6:  do the front side of your worksheet, titled "enrichment worksheet 288-289".  Follow the example at the top of the paper.  Also, follow the example from problems 1 and 4 in today's notes.  There will be a test next Wednesday.

math 6/7:  do the "percentage points" worksheet and "follow that transformation".  Remember the instructions from class.  Complete the sheet in your packet, and also write the original coordinate points and the 5 transformation instructions on looseleaf for you to exchange with a classmate tomorrow. 

 

Wed., Jan. 18

There will be a help sesion tomorrow morning.  Since we tested or quizzed in all classes yesterday, there is o new material to review.  Come in if you feel you need help with basic multiplication or division work.

math 6:  complete "lunatic" and "cow" workseets as directed...write the equation to solve beneath the problem on the worksheet, and solve it in your spiral.

math 6/7:  read text pgs. in chapters 7-7 and 7-8 on percent.  Do workbook pgs. 60 and 61
