Tuesday, Dec. 20

All students need to prpare for tomorrow's exams.  Math 6 has a quiz on ratio and proportion; math 6/7 has a semester test.

There will not be a help session on Thursday.

Monday, Dec. 19

There will be  a help session tomorrow morning at 8:15am.

math 6:  Memeorize the decimal/fraction chart!!!  Also, finish the "problem solving" worksheet #s 5-8 and the study guide on the back.  Remember, you have a quiz on Wed.

maht 6/7:  finish the cumulative semester review and begin to study for Wednesday's exam.

Friday, Dec. 16

math 6:  Write and solve proportions for the following problems:  "Bumpy Airplane" ws # 1, 4, and 6.  "Rabbit" ws (located on the back side of Thomas Jefferson ws) # 3, 4, 5, and 6.  Remember to write all work in your spiral.  No calculation work = no credit.  There will be a quiz on Wed. the 21st.

math 6/7:  work on your cumulative review/semester packet.  The test will be on Wed, and we will be reviewing the first half of the packet in class on Monday.

Thursday, Dec. 15

math 6:  "Thomas Jefferson" worksheet, in your spiral, write and solve proportions.  No work = no credit.  Quiz on Wed. the 21st.  Remember...memorize the fraction/decimal chart.

math 6/7:  "policeman" ws.  Work on your semester review (t is due Monday)  No calculator on the review!  Shwo work in spiral when necessary.  There will be a learning check tomorrow. 

Wednesday, Dec. 14

There will be a help session tomorrow morning at 8:15 am.  If you have not completed the checkpoint, please try to come in early.

math 6:  "Fishy Ratios" worksheet....make it pretty!.  Also, re-work "letter perfect if you need to...implementing one of the 3 strategies. Remember to memorize the fraction/decimal chart. (pop quiz??)  There will be a quiz on Wed. Dec. 21st.

math 6/7:  do the "angel" worksheet, writing and solving proportions. Semester Test will be next Wed.

 

Tuesday, Dec. 13

math 6:  complete the "parrot/shark" worksheet and the "letter perfect" worksheeet.  Remember the 3 strategies for solving proportions that are in your notes from yesterday.  Look at textbook page 363 for help with strategy #3.  Also, it would be wise to work on memorizing the fraction/decimal conversion chart!

math 6/7:  the "rabbit" and "bumpy" worksheets are due tomorrow.  Remember to write the proportion on the ws, and solve it in your spiral.

Monday, Dec. 12

There will be a help session tomorrow at 8:15am

math 6:  "parrot/shark" and "letter perfect" worksheets are due Wed.  Refer to your class notes for the 3 strategies to help you solve proportions.

math 6/7:  "rabbit" and "bumpy airplane" worksheets are due Wed.  Remember to write the proportion on the worksheet itself, and then solve it in your spiral.

Friday, Dec. 9

math 6:  do problems 1 - 18 on the 5-9 Practice worksheet. You will not receive credit unless you simplify your answers.  Also do the "Greek Decoder" worksheet, showing the division work in your spiral. Memorize the fraction/decimal chart in your notes from yesterday.

math 6/7:  complete the Parrot, Letter Perfect, and 9-3 worksheets you received in class yesterday.

Thursday, Dec. 8

math 6:  do workbook pg. 28, but omit problems 13-18.  Also do textbook pg. 183, #s 12-27.  Memorize the fraction/decimal chart, and understand its applications.

math 6/7:  You have a test tomorrow on:  order of operations, evaluating expressions, writing algebraic expressions, solving 2-step equations, and word problems.  The parrot/letter perfect/9-3 homework is due on Monday.
