math 6:  do the "future fruit" ws in your spiral.  You must solve using the 5-step format. You must show the PROCESS....don't say "I can do it in my head".

math 6/7:  do packet sides 3 and 4, showing work in your spiral.  Your calendar project is due Friday.

Tuesday, Nov. 30

math 6:  your choice boards are due tomorrow.  Also, do the workbook pg. 9, #3-11 only; "Gonzo" worksheet (bottom half only) and the entire Worksheet 1.

math 6/7:  your calendar project is due Friday, Dec. 2.  Also, do "Cryptic Quiz" and "scissors" worksheets in your packet.

Monday, Nov. 28

Looks like it's back to work after a nice, refreshing break...

There will be a math help session tomorrow at 8:15am

math 6:  your choice board (both sides) is due on Wed., Nov. 30.  Make sure you do both sides, showing your work on looseleaf, and write your final answers on the choice board itself.

math 6/7:  do the "TV show" worksheet and #1-23 odd on the back side.  Show work in your spiral.  Your calendar project is due on Friday, Dec. 2nd.  Follow all directions, and ask questions to clarify if needed.

Thursday, Nov. 17

Math 6:  study for tomorrow's quiz on exponents, order of operations, and evaluating expressions.  Also, do the "monster" cross-number puzzle (show the substitution as required) and the right column of worksheet 40 (this would be #s 3,6,9,12, etc).

Math 6/7:  study for tomorrow's quiz on one-step equations.  Also complete the "elmo" worksheet.

THERE WILL NOT BE HOMEWORK OVER THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!

Tuesday, Nov. 15

math 6:  do the #22-33 order of operations problems on textbook pg. 24.  Also do the odd problems (left hand column only) on the 1-2 practice worksheet.  Do all work in your spiral.  It must be shown in the step-by-step "V" format in order to receive full credit.  There will be a quiz on Friday.

math 6/7:  do the "cryptic quiz" and left column problems on the back side.  Do all work in the required format, and be sure to do the check step for problems #10-14 on the back.  Note:  I did not go over examples with a "negative variable" (as you see in problems A and P).  I will be sure to address this tomorrow...just do the best you can.  There will be a quiz on Friday.

All classes took a test today.  If you were absent, please try to come in early (at 8:15 am) on Monday morning and report to Mrs. Weintraub's room for your make-up.  There is no homework.

Thursday, Nov. 10

All students will have a TEST tomorrow...SO STUDY TONIGHT!!!

math 6 students need to review decimals, all operations...add, subtract, multiply and divide.  Also review word problem assignments.  Do you know your multiplication facts???

math 6/7 students have a test on Integers.  Use your packet as a study guide.

There will be a math 6 help session tomorrow morning at 8:15 am.

math 6:  You have a decimal test on Friday.  Tonight's homework is to do the 5 division problems and the 6 word problems on the back of the "crack the code" worksheet.  Begin to study and review.

math 6/7:  You have a test on integers on Friday.  For homework, do "800 lb. monster", and the left column only on these 3 worksheets:  fraction attraaction; famous quotations; gym on Wall Street.
