Monday, March 31

math 6: parent letter went home...please read, sign, and return.  tests were returned in periods 3 and 5.  Circle graph is due tomorrow.  homework:  text pg. 466, #1-16, workbook pg. 74  and perid 6 do 9-5 practice ws, both sides.

math 6/7:  there is a test tomorrow on probability.  study/review!!!

math 6:  work on your circle graph, finishing it up, if possible!  If not, be prepared to bring questions and material to class on Monday, and finish it up by Tuesday.

math 6/7:  permutation work, "did you hear about..." ws,  show the numbers used in your calculations.  There's a quiz or test on probability this coming Tuesday.

math 6:  we worked on word problems that involve surface area and volume.  there is no homework, unless you still have not finished the CRCT review, weeks 1-15.

math 6/7:  finish "teenage yardstick" and "analyzing two-dice games"ws (both sides) on probability

math 6:  we tested today.  homework is to finish the CRCT prep, weeks 1-15 in the front of the textbook, if you have not already done so.  Code these answers on the scantron sheet.

math 6/7:  work on the CRCT review, weeks 16-19 in the front of the textbook.

Monday, March 24

help at 8:20 am tomorrow for math 6.  TEST IS TOMORROW.  A practice test and a review guide went home on Friday and today.  homework is to study/review!  memorize formulas, including those for area.  Complete the "Review for...unit test" ws that went home today.  Remember, there were corrections to the answer key,#9 is 1416.925    Focus on the difference between surface area and volume!  Try not to confuse the two!

math6/7:  quiz was returned.  homework:  workbook pgs. 103 and 105.  Today we gathered data in our experimental probability trials.

math 6:  There's a TEST on Tuesday the 25th over surface area and volume.   A practice/pre-test went home today for students to complete and to use as a study guide.    Begin to study and prepare for the test!!!  A quiz was returned.

math 6/7:  no homework.  We covered probability topics, and went over the math online league contest.

math 6: today we covered volume of pyramids and cones. homework: finish the volume ws (with the horse on it) and the 12-8 study guide. You may use a calculator, but you must show the numbers you are substituting into the formulas. TEST ON tUESDAY THE 25TH.  TEST TOPICS WERE WRITTEN ON THE FRONT BOARD.

math 6/7:  had a volume quiz today.  you do not need to finish the probability work for homework.

math 6:  took a quiz on surface area today.  There is no help session for math 6 tomorrow.  homework:  "finding volume" ws, do not use a calculator.  "reteaching 12-10" ws, you may use a calculator, do the work right on the worksheet.   workbook pg. 90, problems #1-4 only, use a calculator, show formula, substitute , solve in your spiral.  TEST ON TUESDAY, MARCH 25

math 6/7:  help session at 8:25am tomorrow.  quiz on volume tomorrow.  Study!!!  finish the partner ws if you had not done so in class.

math 6 has a quiz tomorrow on surface area.  help @ 8:25.  for homework, study!!! and complete the quiz review that went home. (these are the topics on the quiz)

math 6/7:  test (Q3 grade) and reading sample (Q3 grade) were returned today.  Homework:  finish "music" (all) and "monster" (evensonly).  VOLUME QUIZ on Thursday.

there will be help sessions tomorrow and Wed. of this week as we tackle the challenging topic of surface area of a cylinder!  There's a quiz on Wednesday for math 6.
