MAth 6:  had a quiz today...will have a BIG DECIMAL TEST next week Wednesday.  For homework, finish the untitled worksheet, problems 1 - 11.  Remember to write the equation beneath the problem, but do the solving work in your spiral. 

Math 6/7:  quiz was returned today.  We continued with similar figures.  Homework is "palace Window" and "similar triangles" worksheets.  Remember to write those proportions...even if you feel you could solve mentally.  There will be a test next week, either Wednesday or Friday. 

Thursday, November 29

math 6:  there will be a help session tomorrow at 8:25am.  For homework, complete the study guide and STUDY!!!  Tomorrow's quiz is on multiplying and dividing decimals and multiplying and dividing by powers of ten. 

math 6/7:   do workbook pg. 57 and textbook pages 368-369, #5-14.  We will go over all of this tomorrow!

Wednesday, Nov. 28

if you have not yet returned the progress report that when home yesterday, get parent signature tonight and turn it in to your homeroom teacher tomorrow morning.

hep session for math 6/7 only tomorrow at 8:25.  Math 6 help session is on Friday at 8:25.

math 6:  "knock/knock" worksheet and the three problems you copied from the board (which all have zero in the quotient).  Show work in your spiral.  There is a QUIZ FRIDAY ON MULTIPLYING AND DIVIDING DECIMALS AND MULTIPLYING AND DIVIDING BY POWERS OF TEN.

progress reports went home today.  return with parent signature tomorrow.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning, and will not be available for extra help.

math 6:  "crack the code" ws, far left and center columns only.  show your work in your spiral.

math 6/7:  finish the "angel" and "rabbit" worksheets.  Show the set-up (write the proportion) and show work in your spiral.  A calculator may be used for "angel", but not for "rabbit".   Quiz Thursday on ration/rate/proportion.

Monday, Nov. 26

I wasn't in today.  All students participated in the online math league competition, and then had an assignment.  Math 6 is to finish "tightrope" and "Eiffel Tower" WS (show NO work!  just bump that decimal point!)  and "daffynition decoder" ws (show that division work!)   Math 6/7 has a proportion worksheet to complete, I believe it's titled 9-4 practice.  I will be in tomorrow, but will not have a help session Tuesday morning.   Hope everyone had a marvelous holiday!!!

THERE WILL NOT BE A HELP SESSION TOMORROW MORNING

math 6:  basic ws 228 - both sides.  do no caculation work!!!  solve mentally!!!  you may show the buming of the decimal point...but that is all!!!   Als do textbook pages 135-136, #9-26, showing this work in your spiral.    periods 1 and 2 had quizzes returned.  period 4 will receive their quiz tomorrow.

math 6/7:  tests were returned.   homework:  textbook page 364-365, # 1-36, also workbook pg. 56

math 6:  had a quiz today.  Finish the "mystery question" ws (show work in your spiral)

math 6/7:  we're continuing to work on ratio and unit rate.  finish the "scientists" and "policeman" worksheet.  Remember to show your set-up in your math spiral, but you may use a calculator to solve.  there will be a quiz next week.

Thursday, Nov. 15

math 6:  study for tomorrow's quiz on comparing and ordering decimals and +, - , and X decimals.  Also complete "hidden music" ws (show work on the ws) and 4-3 practice omit # 1-6 and do work in spiral.

math 6/7:  workbook (thin) pgs. 54 and 55 "aspirin" and "8 sodas" ws (show work in spiral)

There will be a help session at 8:25 tomorrow morning.

NEWS FLASH

I will not be in tomorrow, something urgent has come up.  Therefore, the math 6/7 help session is not be able to be held.  I am sorry!  Spread the word!   In study hall...maybe you could help each other.  Let Ms. Hogan and Ms. Thomas know the situation....they may not be able to allow this, but it's worth a try.
