Thanks to Mrs. Tom for the following. Hope you all have a wonderful summer.
Stay tuned up in math by checking out the following web pages. I selected these sites because they include lots of links to games, practice and review. In some cases, you might have to ignore advertising, but otherwise, I have found these pages to be reliable and useful. You might have to search a little bit to find a topic and level of difficulty which is appropriate for you, but you are bound to find many activities which are worth your time. Have fun!
http://www.sldirectory.com/studf/math.html a library of good links including:
- King’s List of Online Math Activities at http://www.k111.k12.il.us/King/math.htm
- AAA Math at http://www.321know.com/grade7.htm
This is a link which covers topics listed as a 7th grade math curriculum but
you’ll find that most of it is material we studied this past year.
For real life application: http://www.figurethis.org/index.html a series of real-world questions aimed at middle school students who will need to use math to find the solutions. The program is designed to introduce higher-level math operations involving angles, volumes, number patterns, and finding the surface areas of irregular shapes.
Other sources I like which have lots of links to games and practice:
