Thanks to all of my sixth grade students!

Thank you to my 6th grade classes for participating in a very different lesson the other day.  We listened to 4 different jazz musicians and then painted the sound of the music.  Everyone did a great job and had a great time with the experience! 

We are finishing up the tempera/batik project and should be able to start ceramics tomorrow.  We have to hurry, only 3 weeks of school left!

Still life with guitar/violin in the style of Picasso

Your paintings are looking great!  We will try to complete the painting part of the project by thursday, end of class.  The next step is to add pastel to the already painted shapes.  The last step is to draw the wood grain on the guitar/violin.  These will be hung up in the hall for everyone to see when they are finished.
