Tues. Math8: solve systems of inequalities HW: side one of self-checking worksheet page 200 Review worsheets for test given out but due by Thursday Enriched: tasks HW: finish any task and start review worksheets for test (comlete by Thursday)

Wed. Math8: systems of inequaltities HW: Do worksheet that is the review for the test Enriched: HW:finish task and review worksheet for the test.

Thurs. Math8: review for test HW:continue studying for test by gooing over review and booklet Enriched: review for test HW: continue studying for test by going over review, booklet, and all word problem worksheets.

Fri. Math8 and Enriched: take unit 7 test and make sure all homework points were shown to teacher.HW: Have a fun but save vacation.

Week of March 24th to 28th

s Mon. Math8: reviewed solving system of equations by graphing and substitution HW: worktext page 361(2 problems) and page 367 problems 1 to 13 There is a QUIZ tomorrow. Enriched: using systems of equation to solve word problems HW: self-checking worksheet of word problems QUIZ tomorrow over 7.1 to 7.4.

Tues. Math8: take quiz then work on graphing special cases HW: finish worksheet Enriched: take quiz and work on more word problems HW: finish worksheet of more word problems

Wed. Math8: solve systems of equations by elimination HW: self-checking worksheet Enriched: solve special cases Algebra book 7.5 HW: page 429 and 430 problems 12 to 30 all

Thurs. Math8: special cases and more elimination HW: Elimination homework worksheet Enriched: solve systems of inequalities 7.6 HW: pages 435 and 436 problems 9 to 26 all; graph paper was provided.

Fri. Math8: elimination with multiplication HW:self-checking worksheet page 165 and 8.3 Enriched: did an inequality task in class for a grade HW: self-checking worksheet on systems of inequalities pages 200 and 9.16

Everyone has Unit 7 test next Friday April 4th. The review will be given on Tues.and due Thursday. If student is to be absent on Friday I strongly recommend taking it Thursday, if not you will be required to take in MONDAY April 14th.

Week of March 17th to 21st

Mon. Math8 and Enriched took benchmark exam for 3rd quarter.HW: none

Unit 7 on Systems of Equations begins Tues.and will be completed by spring break. Test is scheduled for Friday April 4th.

Tues.Math8: solving systems of linear equations by graphing HW:last page of packet Enriched:same topic as Math8 HW:finish worksheet started in class today, finish worksheet started in class yesterday and do problems 11 to 19 on page 401 in Algebra book.(2nd period has only one of the worksheets due to the assebly for 8th graders today)

Note: Reportcards and high school registration forms went home today. Math placement is done by test averages and recommendations can change at the end of 4th quarter.

Week of March 10th to 14th

Tues Math8 and Enriched: work on review packets for unit 6 and benchmark exam HW: Unit 6 review is due Wed.

Wed. Math8 and Enriched: continue reviewing for test and benchmark HW: study vocabulary booklet and review sheets for Unit 6(looking over previous work is helpful too)

Tues Math8: Finding angle measures, did worksheet in class HW: worksheet  Enriched: analyzing angle relationships, did "Lunch Line" task in class HW:finish task and do worksheet

Special Note: there will be a quiz on Friday March 7th, a unit 6 test on Thursday March 13th and a benchmark exam on Friday March 14th.

Wed. Math8: Did proportions and did worktext page 198 in class. HW: worksheet Enriched: did proportions, congruence, and similar. HW: worktext page 199, workbook page 52 and worksheet on similar (these were started in class)
