Week of May 12th to 16th

The assignments are the same for Math8 and Enriched.

Mon. Take homework quiz. Start Part 1 of review project. Outline and rubric were handed out in class. Project is worth one test grade. Copies of the units and hand outs can be found as a link on Mrs. Hajduk's blog.

Tues. finish Part 1 and Part II in class. If behind then finish for homework.

Wed. Do part 3 in class. May need to bring in notecards and a poster board. Plan with group members.

Thurs. and Fri.  Present game to class. Use project to review for the exam.

The math exam is scheduled for Tuesday May 20th.

Week of May 5th to 9th

Mon. Math8: Multiplying polynomials and review subtracting polynomials HW:finish workbook pages 106 and 107 Enriched: factoring quadratic equations HW: page 607: 12 to 40 evens

Reminder: Everyone has a math test on Friday.

Tues. Math8: 14-6 More multiplying page 766 in book HW: workbook page 108 Enriched:10.6 More factoring, book pages 611 to 613 HW: pages 614-615: 16 to 46 evens

Wed. Math8: More multiplying and test notes HW: worksheet both sides Enriched: 9.5 solve by using the quadratic formula (which must be memorized) HW: finish book page 536: 44 to 52 evens and worksheet both sides

Thurs. Math8 and Enriched: Review for test. In-class review is a graded assignment HW: review all work for test tomorrow.

Fri. Math8 and Enriched: Take test in class HW:have assignments ready for homework quiz on Monday

Week of April 28th to May 2nd

Mon and Tues. Math8: simplifying and adding polynomials: did page 746 problems 17 to 24 and page 753 problems 8 to 15 in class HW: workbook pages 104 and 105 due Wed. Enriched:adding, subtracting and multiplying polynomials: did pages 579-580 problems 7 to 30 all and 32 to 62 evens then page 587 problems 18 to 46 evens HW: finish any part not completed in the two class times

Reminder:April's reading card or AR test is due to the math teacher.  Wednesday is the end of April but I will not count it late till Monday. It does count as a quiz grade for 4th quarter.

Progress Reports need to be signed and returned ASAP.

Everyone has Unit 7 test next Friday April 4th. The review will be given on Tues.and due Thursday. If student is to be absent on Friday I strongly recommend taking it Thursday, if not you will be required to take in MONDAY April 14th.

Mon. Math8 and Enriched took benchmark exam for 3rd quarter.HW: none

Unit 7 on Systems of Equations begins Tues.and will be completed by spring break. Test is scheduled for Friday April 4th.

Tues.Math8: solving systems of linear equations by graphing HW:last page of packet Enriched:same topic as Math8 HW:finish worksheet started in class today, finish worksheet started in class yesterday and do problems 11 to 19 on page 401 in Algebra book.(2nd period has only one of the worksheets due to the assebly for 8th graders today)

Note: Reportcards and high school registration forms went home today. Math placement is done by test averages and recommendations can change at the end of 4th quarter.

Special Note: there will be a quiz on Friday March 7th, a unit 6 test on Thursday March 13th and a benchmark exam on Friday March 14th.
