Students need to complete worksheet D-54. Show the 3 step process for the area problems: Write the formula, substitute the values, solve.
Students saw their unit test scores today. I will go over the test Monday during class.

Tonight's homework is textbook page 544, problems 1-19. On the problems for the area of rectangles and parallelograms, students need to show the 3 step process: Write the formula, substitute the values and solve.
Tomorrow I will be handing back the proportions unit test; then re-collecting the test. I can not send the papers home because 3 students still need to take the test. If you would like to see your child's paper, please write me a note in your child's agenda and as soon as all tests have been made up, I'll send it home.

We do not have any homework tonight. We discussed the concept of direct variation today in class. We will continue with this concept tomorrow.
Students who need to complete the unit test due to illness, etc. should come in tomorrow around 8:25.

I gave the students a topic guide to help them know what concepts and lessons to study. The students stapled the sheet in their agendas.

I handed out a topic guide that helps you see what Monday's unit test will cover. I had the students staple the sheet to their agendas so it would not get lost.
Students need to review the "Converting Customary Units" chart. They will have a 5 minute check-up on this chart. The chart is on page 496 in the textbook.

Students need to complete worksheet E-10, "Snidely". All problems should be set up using proportions.

In addition, was practice workbook page 81, problems 1-10. If these two assignments were not completed in class, then your child has homework. Most students were able to get everything done in class.
