Students need to complete  worksheet 11-4...front and back on proportions.

Students who need to complete the unit test should come tomorrow morning at 8:20.

We had our unit test today. If your child did not complete the test, then please have him/her at school at 8:20 to finish.

Homework for 1-29

Students need to complete problems 11-20 on last night's homework worksheet. I have provided the answers for the students to check their work.

Students should also complete the worksheet "Wrap Up".

The unit test is tomorrow. I have stapled a sheet in your child's agenda that shows you the chapter/lessons that reflect the material on the test. You may want your child to view the video tutorials for a review of the concepts. Students should also review the worksheets that we have completed in this unit.

Help session tomorrow morning at 8:20.

Homework for 1-28

Students need to complete worksheet 100 (What Does an Algebra Teacher Like for breakfast?). Work needs to be shown in the spiral.  Students then need to work problems 1-10 on the back of worksheet 100. I have provided an answer key so students can check their answers as they complete the problems. Work should also be done in the spiral.

I returned the quiz that we had Friday. Please check I-Parent fot your child's score.

We are having our Unit test Wednesday over the following topics: Order of Operations, Evaluating/translating expressions, writing/solving  equations. The equations will involve whole #s, decimals.and fractions. We have had 3 quizzes over this material. Your child should have all 3 papers in his/her math binder in the "Graded Paper" section. Please take a few minutes and look over this material with your child in preparation for the test.

There will be a help session Wednesday morning at 8:20.

Homework for 1-25

There is not a written assignment for the weekend, but we are having our unit test Wednesday. Students should begin reviewing the following concepts: Order of operations, evaluating/translating expressions and solving and writing equations.

There will be a help session Wednesday morning at 8:20.

We had our multiplication/division equation quiz. Overall, the grades are good. I will hand back the papers on Monday and go over the quiz.

It's been a very busy week. I've enjoyed meeting "my " parents and appreciate the continued support for helping "our" students!

Homework for 1-24

Tonight's homework is worksheet "Class Exercises". Students need to do the following problems:

Section 2, problems 5-9, 11, 13, 15

Section 4, problems 1-12. Show all work in the spiral.

There will be a quiz tomorrow over multiplication and division equations using whole #"s, decimals and fractions. Students should look over their "detailed" notes that they took during class.

There will be a help session tomorrow at 8:25.

Homework for 1-23

Students need to complete  practice workbook page 43, problems 1-15. Work needs to be shown (all 5 steps) in the spiral notebook.

If your child is having difficulty, don't forget about the tutoring videos. We are on lesson 5-10-Solving multiplication/division equations with fractions.

We will have an equation quiz on Friday. There will be a help session Friday morning at 8:25.

I met with 6 of the most wonderful moms yesterday during conferences. I look forward to meeting more of the parents today.

Show all 5 steps for each problem and complete the work in your spiral notebook.
