Homework for 11-30

Students need to complete worksheet #41 --front only--in the spiral notebook. The worksheet "Mystery Question" also needs to be completed. This worksheet was handed out before Thanksgiving holidays.

There will be a Decimal test Wednesday covering all operations with decimals  including  word problems.

There will be a help session Wednesday morning at 8:25.

Please remember the annual Toy Drive next week! All homerooms were assigned 2 children to buy for.

Homework for 11-29

Students need to complete the 4 word problem worksheet. We will discuss each problem in detail tomorrow.

Today we reviewed for tomorrow's quiz. The quiz covers multiplication and division of decimals. Students should also know how to multiply and divide decimals using powers of 10 without computing. Review the Eiffel Tower worksheet for examples.

We will have a unit test over decimals next Wednesday. The test  will cover all 4 operations and word problems.

There will be a help session tomorrow at 8:25.

Students need to complete the worksheet "Knock Knock". All work should be shown in the spiral notebook.

We are having a quiz Friday over multiplication and division of decimals. I will have a help session Friday morning at 8:25.

Homework for 11-27

Students need to complete the worksheets "Riddle Math" and  "Crack the Code" (front only). All work must be shown in the spiral. Remember...no work, no credit. Calculators should not be used on this assignment!!

Progress reports were sent home today. Please sign the report and return to the homeroom teacher.

Welcome back! I hope all had a relaxing Thanksgiving break  and enjoyed time with family and friends.

Tonight's homework is worksheet "Daffynition Decoder". All work must be shown in the spiral notebook. Students also need to choose 7 problems to work from the worksheet "Riddle Math". Again, all work should be completed in the spiral.

Progress reports will be sent home tomorrow.

Homework for 11-19

Students have two worksheets to complete:Worksheet 228-229 and Eiffel Tower-(front and back)

All work should be completed on the worksheet. We discussed an easy way to multiply and divide by decimals with powers of 10.

I returned Friday's quizzes today. The papers were excellent!

Homework for 11-15

Tonight's homework is to complete the worksheet hidden music. All work must be shown as well as the "X" method of checking. Students also have another worksheet on the multiplication of decimals, but they  only need to complete 12 out of  the 24 problems.(show the "X" checking on all problems).

We are having a quiz tomorrow over comparing and ordering decimals and addition and subtraction of decimals. There will be a study session tomorrow at 8:25.

Homework for 11-14

Tonight's homework is to complete the worksheet "Hidden Messages" and "Superstar" All work must be shown in the spiral or on another sheet of paper.

We are currently working on decimal operations. Addition and subtraction should be a review; multiplication and division may be a new concept for some.

If your child had to have his/her fraction test signed, could you please return the paper by Friday? There will be a help session tomorrow at 8:25.

I returned the fraction tests today. Students who made a D or an F need to get their paper signed. I sent a copy of the test home so you could see where your child is having difficulty.
