I returned the Unit 1 test today. I went over each problem of the test with the students.
Students who made a score below an 80 need to complete the following assignment:
Textbook page 340, problems 1,3,4,5(mode and range)
page 341, problems 6,7,8(mode and range), 9,10,11,12
page 342, problems 15,16,17,19,20,21
Students had time in class to work on this assignment.

We took our Unit 1 test today. Several students did not complete last night's homework-review practice pages. Please check your child's agenda for my "Math Homework Not Completed".
There is no math homework tonight!!!!

Tomorrow is our Unit 1 test. There will be a study session tomorrow at 8:20 in my classroom.
Tonight's homework looks like a lengthy one, but if you look at the assignment you'll see that there are not many problems per page. Students need to complete practice workbook pages 45,(problems 3-5 mode and range only) pages 47, 48, 50, 52 and 53. Students were given class time to work on this assignment.
Don't forget the tutorials for each lesson that is provided by our textbook. If your child is having difficulty with the material, he /she can visit the Holt website for help.
Parents please continue to check your child's agenda for assignments and notes from me. Also, I-Parent is up and running so you can check your child's progress.

We are having our unit 1 test on Thursday. I gave the students a sheet today that tells them what to study. There will be a help session Thursday morning at 8:20.

Tonight's homework is to complete worksheet 6/84 on the stem and leaf plot.
I returned Friday's quiz to the students today. The students also got back their frequency table on Beanie Babies.
We will be having our Unit 1 test on Thursday, August 30. There will be a help session Thursday morning at 8:20. A study guide will be given to the students on Wednesday.

Students need to complete their classwork...worksheets 18/31 and 15(front and back). Students were given classtime to work on this assignment.
We had our first quiz today. I will grade the papers this weekend and post the scores on I-parent.

Students need to complete the worksheet "Icy Climbing". They also need to do "Worktext " pages 171 and 172. The graphs should be neat and colorful.
Tomorrow we are having a short quiz over scales, intervals, categorical and numerical data and reading a bar graph. We reviewed all the concepts today in class.
Students need to complete worksheet #26 (front only). Also, students should work problems 1-8 in their textbook on page 310. Remember the online username and password given at last night's Open House. I also told the students to write this information down in their agendas.

Tonight's homework is to complete the histogram using the Mark McGuire data about homeruns. Students were given time in class to begin this assignment.
