We have continued this week with our literary analysis from the 60’s/Civil Rights era literature. The students have been given the original version of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” Each student is to read the entire document. In addition, they have been assigned a portion of the document to complete assigned literary tasks. Specifically, we are going to compare/contrast the letter with the “I Have a Dream” speech and reflect on the overall effectiveness.

Announcement: Literary Terms Quiz, Wednesday, February 22, 2012. This will cover all of the literary terms that we have been focusing on as well as samples from the literature we have been analyzing.
