We continued our “Where I’m From” poem in class. We discussed using creative devices to make the poem strong. The students received the poem guidelines, examples, and word lists to help them pick strong descriptors.
We said goodbye to a few close friends today that we have outgrown. The following words are no longer allowed in our writing!
Nice, awesome, cool, good, great, happy, said, small, big, bad, mad, scared, fun, very, then
No FANBOYS at the beginning of sentences.
