Wednesday - Energy Unit Test

Tuesday & Wednesday, May 20 & 21, 2008

The students completed their idiom poster today in class.

Also, we read a story called "The Mysteries of Harris Burdick."  The book has a variety of pictures with a title and short caption.  The captions of the story were never solved, because Harris Burdick gave them to a publisher and was never heard from again.

The students are working in partners to create a complete story based off of the picture, title, and caption.

Each student received their writing portfolios today (Wednesday) to take home.  In the portfolio is an accumulation of all the writing projects each student completed throughout the year.  Ask your student to share their writing with you!

May will be a month for students to choose a book to read for language arts.  The students will be choosing an AR book that they can read.  The students must choose a book that is 150 pages or more and at a 5th grade level or higher.

The AR tests must be given to me by May 21st because they have to be posted for report card grades.  If I do not receive your AR test by this date, you will not receive credit.
