We took a quiz on dividing decimals today. This is still a difficult area for some of us. I will offer a re-take on the quiz on Friday to those that are interested. I strongly advise those that failed the quiz to re-take it on Friday. This grade can affect your final report grade for 2nd quarter. I will return and review the quizzes tomorrow.
We are wrapping up our unit on decimals.

We continue to work on dividing decimals. Today we learned the "trick number" method in order to divide two digit numbers into larger numbers. Remember when you move the decimal in the divisor, you must also move the decimal in the dividend the same number of places. Be careful to line up your quotient correctly!
HW: Complete "Riddle Math" and "Daffynition Decoder" (front and back) Show work in spiral notebook. If you are getting short on paper and spiral notebook paper, fill up over the weekend or upcoming break!
Quizzes were returned today. Overall, they were very good.
We learned how to divide decimals by whole numbers today.
HW: page 21 in workbook #1-12. SHOW WORK IN SPIRAL!
We reviewed multiplication of decimals and learned how to multiply by powers of 10!
HW: Hidden Music review sheet both sides: DO NOT SHOW WORK ON BACK SIDE!! : )
